No doubt. If any remembers, Hillary pushed this. Sise track..how many government employees carry a communist party card? Is there any way to find out? How many x employees do? Hillary, Obama, Bill, Bush's, Kerry, etc, Barr?
the first year with Obamacare I had to pay almost 500 bucks because I could not afford any plan and I was too poor !!!! to get into the Medicaid system.
two years passed where I tried to get something going but nothing worked. In Trumps third year I got government supported health insurance and so it went in the last one. The employee told me I should have been allowed in the system in the 2 former years too, but obviously the ones I talked to at the time did not know this...
Soon as Biden came in I lost my insurance again. It was said later on that we could re-apply but I refused the mad dance, and waited another 2 years to get on Medicare.
Socialized medicine is not all that bad, I had it for 40+ years in Europe. But of course, if the whole system is corrupt, it does not work. In Belgium I could go to any doc I wanted, any specialist I wanted, and all were affordable. (lately your house doc has to forward you to a specialist there).
The people that disposed socialized medicine, could not afford a specialist in the US but had no idea how the European systems worked. May be one has to look a bit better into good systems, like the German and the French before the EU, they had of those I know off, the best. The one in the Netherlands is useless.
That's the inherent problem though isn't it? If the people running the system actually do a good job, things might go well. But that's a very big "IF."
However, the government here in the US doesn't do a very good job running anything. The majority of people with government jobs are there for for the guaranteed retirement.
Keeping things in the private sector at least provides people with options. It's never a good thing when there's only one game in town. You simply get what they give you.
"middle class WHITE college graduates" should be smart enough to look under the hood every once in a while -- but they didn't then and they're not now.
College graduates are often taught that "very smart" people are running things, and that everything will be OK. Only that's not the case. There are just a bunch of very crafty criminals running things. Criminals that keep the colleges staffed with people who convince the students of government's brilliance.
